PETITION
TO THE
ILLINOIS GENERAL ASSEMBLY
ILLINOIS HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AND ILLINOIS STATE
SENATORS
WE THE PEOPLE,
of the State of Illinois, strongly
oppose, Illinois Smoking Ban SB0500, Smoke Free Illinois Act (Public Act
095-0017).
We believe the ban is in direct
violation of our Constitutional and Civil
Rights.
We believe it is the
RIGHT of the PEOPLE, consumers and business owners to have the
CHOICE as to the use of tobacco.
The sale and use of tobacco
is legal, federally, state and locally
taxed. Providing hundreds of
millions of dollars to the State of Illinois. Monies used for the General Revenue
Fund, Common School Fund, School Infrastructure Fund and the Long-Term Care
Provider Fund.
The members of the Illinois
General Assembly were elected to represent the PEOPLE of Illinois, ALL
THE PEOPLE.
Therefore, WE THE PEOPLE OF
ILLINOIS, the business owners, consumers, workers, taxpayers, voters, the
UNDERSIGNED, PETITION the Illinois General Assembly to REPEAL,
Illinois Smoking Ban SB0500, Smoke Free Illinois Act (Public Act
095-0017).
